Tidbit Tuesdays

Did they really say that??? Here are a few tidbits from a recent online chat I had with a De11 technician conerning replacing the keyboard on a laptop that was missing a few keys.


Me: Hello I need to have a replacement keyboard shipped to me. I have had a few keys pop off from my keyboard on my Inspiron 6000 can you help.

De11 Tech: I would be most happy to assist you in this matter today.

De11 Tech: What circumstance caused the keys to pop off?

Me: Normal typing.

De11 Tech: I understand. We will do everything we can to resolve this issue.

De11 Tech: Are you using the laptop to chat with me?

Me: No I am using another computer.

De11 Tech: Okay great. Let us first perform a couple of diagnostics on the laptop to ressolve your issue today.

Me: How are you going to diagnose missing keys?

De11 Tech: You will need to reboot to the diagnostic program.

Me: All I need is a new keyboard for my laptop.

De11 Tech: Okay I will take care of this.


Are you kidding me. I know the technicians use a script but give me a break. How about a little common sense???
